MBN, New BBQ Contest Sanctioning Body

We are proud to announce the formation of the MEMPHIS BARBECUE NETWORK as of September 1, 2007. We will begin sanctioning contests for the 2008 barbecue season right away.

MBN Goals

MBN GOALS:

To improve upon all aspects of the previous sanctioning network.
To provide organization and support for existing contests.
To provide the contest network with knowledgeable and experienced judges.
To maintain the integrity of judging procedures.

MBN Mission Statement

Our mission as the Memphis Barbecue Network is to promote, educate, and enhance the aspects of pork barbecue cooking and competition that are associated with the uniqueness of Memphis styled barbecue. We also endeavor to become part of the national and world-wide community of barbecue lovers, whether through competition or friendship.

Paint-N-Pork Fest, BBQ Contest Marianna, FL '08

The Memphis Barbecue Network is proud to add to our schedule, the Paint-N-Pork Fest BBQ Contest in Marianna Fl. April 11 2008.

The PAINT-N-PORK FEST BBQ 2008 is part of the Marianna Arts Festival.In the 4th annual BBQ contest there will be art, crafts and championship BBQ in a beautiful park just outside of town.We want to thank Karen King and we look forward to working with Richard and Jonathan again in 2008. It is a great time of year to be in Northern Florida.
